How pack, Single Pull and card prices are set

Where our card values come from, how often they update, and why the price of a pack is what it is.

Every price you see on Packs.com traces back to the real-world market value of the cards involved.

Card values

  • Card values are based on live TCGplayer market data for the exact printing and condition (Near Mint by default).

  • The Coin value shown for a card is the market value plus a small amount for taxes and handling. That's the number you'll see on the card in a pack's contents, on the Market, and in your Backpack when you pull it.

  • Values are refreshed several times a day (roughly every four hours for each game), so a card's value on the site moves with the market.

  • To protect you from bad data, cards with a sudden unconfirmed price spike or crash are flagged as volatile. You can still pull and sell them, but shipping them is paused until the price settles.

Pack prices

A Real Pack's price is pre-set from the market value and the odds of the cards inside it. In plain terms: we take the value of every possible card, weight it by the chance of pulling it, and add our margin, which covers sourcing, verification, storage and the cost of running the platform. The price is fixed for the pack – it doesn't change based on who's opening it or what they've pulled before.

Because card values move, a pack's price and contents can shift slightly when prices refresh. Anything you've already pulled is unaffected.

Single Pull prices

Same idea: the price of a Single Pull is based on the market value of the cards in the collection and their odds. The color tiers on the collection grid show how each card's value compares to the spin price.

The value in your Backpack never changes

The moment you pull a card, its Coin value is locked. If the market moves up or down afterwards, your Backpack value stays the same – and if you sell the card back, you get the full value from the moment you pulled it.
